“I have a priest’s blessing that is a single target and would have given Oslow heals over time. Likely would have led to less mass heals on the Goblin and its eventual death,” Prateek responded sheepishly.

Azrael nodded. “That’s good. Perhaps that would have made the difference,” he encouraged. The point of this exercise wasn’t to find a perfect solution, but to recognize the solutions that each individual could have contributed. While this was Azrael’s first group dungeon run, he had been schooled for years on team building or, more specifically, disruption of a team’s tactics.

He turned to Jophi. She nodded and confidently said, “I have a few frost spells that have a frostbite effect. The effect doesn’t target allies and would have been quite debilitating to the chieftain.”

Azrael nodded and turned to Bat. “I have several options that probably would have helped. Primary amongst them is a skill called Deaden. It would have removed a great many of the creature’s senses, leaving it confused.”

Finally, he turned to Oslow. “I really shouldn’t have rushed in like that. This all started because I somehow crossed into the creature’s shadow dimension. In the future, I will take some time to plan.”

“All good answers,” Azrael stated. “I think my choice was the best option for me. All of my skills would have killed both of you. In the future, let’s all stay engaged, that was too close for comfort. Bat and I weren’t aware that the debuff we received from killing a village of Goblins last run would hang on for this run. We couldn’t have guessed—but I apologize regardless.

“Loot wise, we got the chieftain’s spear; a bag of assorted gems, marks, and diamonds; and some herbs. We also got a quest item—everyone touch this totem.”

Congratulations! You have completed a hidden dungeon quest.
