The restaurant that was located inside the exclusive hotel that housed Myer Brigg's penthouse was closed to the public. Myer had rented the entire five star michelin establishment and its staff for an exclusive dinner party for himself and a select few of his closest business partners and their spouses.

"Are you sure about this menu?" Myer had asked his wife as she stood in front of the mirror in her dressing room.

"Trust me on this," she said as she lifted her hair for her husband to fasten the silver and diamond necklace that he draped around her neck. She allowed her hair to fall back in place, fluffing it with her hands just enough to restore its luxurious body just right. "The Chef is from Masa. He cost a small fortune for the evening, but he is creating the most exquisite twenty five course omakase sushi dinner. Our guests will not know what hit them. By the time this dinner is over you will have them eating out of the palm of your hand."

More true than you can imagine, Myer thought.

"So?' she said, turning to face her husband. "How do I look?"

"Beyond stunning," he replied. "As usual." The pewter Rene Ruiz evening gown hugged her curves perfectly and only served to highlight the diamonds that glittered around her neck and hung in teardrops from her ears. Not a day went by that he didn't count himself as one of the luckiest men in the world for having the gift of this woman at his side.

As they exited the cavernous master bedroom and made their way into the main living area, a silent figure fell into step behind them.

"You know," said Genevieve, "this new body guard slash assistant you have hired may take some getting used to."

"Understandably my dear," replied Myer, "but times have changed as you know. The new arena we are heading into dictates new security measures. If things work out, we will be traveling more and more and it is easier to go unnoticed with only a couple of key assistants than an army of them. That means having a couple that can service double duty is key."

"Yes, I understand the why behind it, but he's so...silent; and you still haven't told me where you found this man. I mean, don't I usually vet all of your security personnel? I haven't seen his resume or talked to who he has worked for in the past. For all I know..."

"Honey," said Myer, "you do way too much for me as it is. Reid did an excellent job locating the service that provided him. He ran a background check and has personally vouched for the man's previous employment status."

Genevieve smiled at her husband. "Well, I do trust Reid, so if he vouches for this man then that's good enough for me." She took her husband’s hand as they entered their private elevator. "You do know he's in love with you don't you?"

Myer was a little shocked and turned to his wife.
