She was tan, with long, flowing black hair. Much like Kaden‘s, but without the bluish tinge. Her narrow dark eyes glanced around the property with obvious distaste. Her gaze finally settled on Kaden, and her lips curved up into a smile. Whoever she was, she gave Terrie the creeps.

Beside her was a man she did not recognize, but she did recognize the third person to step from the chopper. Daniel. The two-faced bastard was in league with West Net.

¯Shit, what‘s he doing here?‖ Terrie narrowed her eyes at the man she despised.

¯You know them?‖ Kaden had not left her side.

¯Only that asshole, Daniel. The other two, I don‘t have a clue who they are.‖

Kaden was growling a low, dangerous growl. ¯That is Daniel, the one who abandoned you? Do you still have feelings for him?‖

¯Hell, no! The bastard can go rot in hell for all I care,‖ she said with anger. ¯Keep your dragon on a leash, Kaden, along with that possessive temper.‖ She nodded across to the fence line, where some of the men had wandered out, curious to see who had landed, no doubt. ¯Look. The men have come out to see what‘s going on.‖

¯Noted.‖

He slipped his arm around her waist and pulled her against his side, despite the murderous look she shot him. ¯You can be angry with me later, beauty,‖ he leaned down to whisper in her ear.
