Chapter Eight

Rylee slid her hands up and around Dex’s neck and melted into his hot, hard flesh. His skin was on fire. So was her blood. It was a heated rush she’d never experienced before, and when his thumb brushed her lace covered nipple, need coursed through her, fast and deep, settling low in her belly. She moaned and pressed closer.

A deep, sexy sound rumbled in his throat a second before he cupped her ass with his other hand and thrust against her. Sweet mercy, she saw stars as desire burst out in every direction.

God, he was perfect. No man had ever made her feel so hungry.

“You drive me crazy,” he muttered against her skin when his mouth left hers to trail kisses down her throat. “This is pretty,” he said, as he hooked his fingers under the straps of her bra and tugged them down her arms, freeing her breasts. “But these are gorgeous,” he whispered, reaching around to unhook her bra. As it fell from her body, he dipped down to kiss each tip before sucking one into his mouth.

She gasped and arched into him as her eyes drifted close. Shards of heat shot down to where she ached for him most. The sensations were intense and wonderful, and Rylee happily gave herself over to them. And him. She just hoped Dex still found her gorgeous when he saw the rest of the scars on the back of her shoulder.

His big, warm hands cupped her breasts, and he released her nipple to lick and nip the other. “You’re so perfect.”

Her eyes opened, and some of her euphoria faded. Now for the part she hated. It was truth time. “You haven’t seen my back yet. I should warn you that the scars are worse there.”

As she’d basically admitted to him earlier, her last boyfriend had enjoyed her body…if she had taken bottom. That was fine with her, though. She felt more confident when her scars were out of sight.

Dex straightened, and his smoldering gaze met hers while his hand trailed to her right shoulder then slowly stroked her scarred flesh. “There’s nothing wrong with you, Rylee.” Before she could blink, he turned her around and placed open-mouthed kisses from the top of her shoulder, down the blade, and up again. Not once had she felt him stop or flinch. “You’re fucking perfect.”

His breath was warm on her skin, and the heat in his voice made her tremble.

Needing to see his face, she turned around in his arms, and her mind fogged at the sensation of her bare breasts brushing the solid muscles of his chest. “That is perfect.”

He smiled. “Indeed. You feel exquisite.” He ran a finger from her shoulder, up the side of her throat to her lower lip. “I’ve wanted you for so long.” His admission warmed her heart, and this time, when he stared into her eyes, restraint and reluctance were gone. It was as if a switch had been flipped. His mind was set. “So damn long.
