Her eyes filled with tears, an inexplicable agony surfacing in their brown depths. “You said we would be honest.”

One tear spilled over and rolled down her cheek, but her sweet lips tilted in a smile that touched places inside him he didn’t even know existed. “Oh, Blake …”

He kissed her and lost himself in her lips. He was kicking off his trousers before he realized he’d even started undressing, but he had to feel skin to skin, warmth to warmth.

He ripped the packet open with his teeth and pulled out the condom with a shake that sent the packet flipping over his shoulder. “Can we talk about this later?”
