Conclusion
Constantine's love for Christianity and his superstitious trust in the God of the Christians is, I think, undeniable. That he lived his life in a real knowledge of Jesus Christ, following him as taught by the apostles and by the churches up to his time seems impossible. The best we can conclude is that perhaps there was enough sincerity that his deathbed baptism was a real conversion to a real but temporary Christianity.
Each one will make his own decision, but in the end only one decision will matter, for we must all stand before the judgment seat of Christ, to receive the deeds done in the body, whether good or bad (2 Cor. 5:10).
