Chapter 7

The door swung open and Jesse and Micah stood there with big grins on their faces. Jesse looked cute as hell in a pair of tight forest-green leather pants and a red button-down dress shirt. He wore black combat boots and a Santa hat on his head. His golden hair with purple streaks now had a few streaks of green in it as well. Micah looked very handsome in a pair of black slacks and a green sweater. He also looked adorable with a Santa hat on his head.

“Hey, guys. So glad you could come. Come in, come in. Dinner’s almost ready. Everyone is in the living room enjoying cocktails,” Jesse said happily as he stood back to allow them to enter. Dale’s eyes went wide open at the sight of the pack house all decked out for Christmas. It looked like a Christmas store threw up in there. The banisters winding up the stairs were wrapped with evergreen garland that had sprigs of holly berries every four feet. At the top of the stairs, hanging on the wall was a huge evergreen wreath with a big red bow. Off to the side in the foyer was a huge tree. It had to be at least ten feet tall and it was decorated with figurines of all sizes of wolves. There were multi-colored lights in abundance glittering around the tree and it had golden garland wrapped around it and an angel on top. It was beautiful.

Micah shook each of their hands as they walked in and greeted them welcomingly. “Hi, Dale. We haven’t seen you in a while. How are you?” Micah asked as he took Dale’s coat.

“I’m fine, Alpha. Thank you for inviting me,” Dale said shyly.

“You’re family, Dale. You are always welcome here,” Jesse said as he gave Dale a hug. Dale stiffened for a moment but then relaxed and hugged Jesse back. The Alpha’s mate amazed him. After everything that Dale had put him through, the man saved his life and welcomed him into his home with open arms.

Micah led them into the living room which was also decked out for the holiday. The mantel was framed in the same evergreen garland with holly sprigs. Over a dozen stockings, each with the name of a member of the house hung across the top and down the sides. A tree just as big as the one in the foyer sat in front of the picture window, but this one only had white lights and it was decorated with dozens of ornaments of all shapes, sizes, and colors, with blue and silver garland wrapped around it and a beautiful star sat on top.

The room was full of people, some that Dale had never seen before. There was the Alpha and his mate of course, along with all the members of the inner pack and the mates of the ones who had mates. There was a beautiful woman that was running around after a little boy. He squealed in delight when he saw them and he came running over.
