“You guys ready?” I shout from the main hall of our dorm. Luna and Olivia are joining me at the home game tonight.

“This is going to be so much fun,” Luna screeches, walking out of her room wearing a cropped hoodie, jeggings and a pair of Ugg booties.

Olivia walks out of her room a minute later wearing almost the same outfit in different colors.

“I’m guessing you guys coordinated?” I laugh.

They look at each other with surprise in their eyes.

“We seriously didn’t,” Olivia says.

“Great minds just think alike,” Luna chimes in.

I’m wearing one of my brother’s old Westfall U Dragons hoodies and a flare pair of jeans. I decided to leave my hair down and I indulged and put on some mascara and lip gloss.

“You look adorable,” Luna says to me.

“Thanks. We better go or we’ll miss face-off,” I say, and Luna gives me a confused look. “It’s the start of the game when the puck drops and a player from each team fights to snag the puck away.”

“This is going to be so much fun. Those guys must look so hot fighting for that puck,” Olivia says.

We leave our dorm decked out in warm jackets and hats and head to the arena in an Uber, even though it’s only a short distance away, but the girls know walking distance is hard for me.

“Honestly, it doesn’t get old. I love watching hockey,” I state.

“The sport or the guys?” Luna asks.

“Both,” I admit. And Luna whoots.

“That’s my girl,” Olivia says.

I shake my head, grinning at both of them.

We arrive to the arena. Noah wanted to get us seats right up front, but I explained to him that it is better for me to sit in the handicap section since all those steps are hard for me. I can’t believe I admitted that to one of the hottest guys at the school, but Noah is different or maybe I’m different with Noah. He makes me feel like I can just be myself around him.

We take our seats just in time to hear the anthem. Luna and Olivia are super excited to be here.

“Look at that over there.” Luna points to a group of girls holding signs.

“That doesn’t get old either. There’s always a new group of them,” I remark.

“That’s something else,” Luna says. “I can’t imagine sleeping with those guys just because they are on the team.”

“Right?” Olivia counters. “I mean, it’s one thing if you are attracted to someone and they work for it, but those girls don’t make the guys work. They just give of themselves freely.”

“I can’t imagine how,” I say. “I haven’t been with anyone since high school and the thought of sleeping with someone now has me freaked out.” After I finish my sentence, I realize what I’ve said.

The girls watch me with questions on their faces. “You haven’t slept with Noah?” Olivia asks.

“Not yet,” I admit and my stomach sinks. I prefer not to give them any details about my and Noah’s arrangement.

“Wow. . .that’s. . .” Luna sounds speechless.
