At six thirty on the dot, I stroll up to the front steps of Hawthorne. There are quite a few ladies lingering about, waiting to be picked up by their dates. The women are gorgeous, but they fade in comparison to the one I want because as soon as I see Mandy, all else disappears into nothingness. Stepping forward with a bouquet of flowers, I practically bow a little, completely blown away by how amazing she looks.

She’s wearing a tight pair of blue denim shorts with a white tank top tucked into them. I don’t think she’s wearing a bra as her large breasts seems to sit up perfectly with two round knobs pointing straight at me. Her long wavy hair is slicked back into a ponytail, highlighting the delicate features of her face. Those enchanting brown eyes glimmer under a set of thick lashes, and her dainty mouth glistens with a hint of clear lip gloss. The corners of her mouth turn up as I reach her.

“You look absolutely stunning,” I manage to bumble out. Shit, what’s become of me? I’m usually so smooth when it comes to romancing ladies, but around Mandy, I’m like a teenage nincompoop. Her beauty is so breathtaking that my mouth feels like it’s stopped working.

Blushing a bit, she throws me an appreciative glance. “You don’t look too bad yourself, Mister.”

I glance down at my outfit and shrug. After changing six times, my final outfit ended up being my first one: a pair of black skinny jeans, brown leather loafers, and a maroon button down shirt with a black blazer. “Seriously, honey. You’ve got me feeling like a schlep, you look so beautiful. Here, these are for you. Pink roses, your favorite.”

Her eyebrows shoot up in amazement. “You remembered? That conversation was so long ago, and I only mentioned it in passing.”

I grin.

“I remember everything, sweetheart. I couldn’t forget you if I tried. Now, shall we?” I say, extending my elbow. Her freshly manicured hand slips through the crook of my elbow as I lead her off the stairs, and to my sports car.

After we both settle inside, I pull away from the school before starting down the winding road. The sun is setting in the distance and it’s a perfect evening. The breeze is balmy, and a few speckles of stars begin to make their appearance as we drive off into the distance.

“What kind of music do you listen to?” I ask, pulling up a music app on my phone and handing it to Mandy.

To my surprise, a popular guitar riff starts playing through the speakers. “You like Christian D’Angelo?” I ask, astonished. The curvy girl merely grins.

“Of course, who doesn’t?” she asks, moving her fingers over an air guitar and singing along to the words.

Before I know it, we’re having a full blown concert inside the vehicle, belting the lyrics of “Love Me Harder” at the top of our lungs. When the final notes linger, another song begins, and we both start howling with glee.
