General instructions

Measure child’s head and crochet the number of rows necessary to achieve desired length. Headband will stretch, make it approx. 1" smaller than needed.

Hook size: E/4-3.5mm.

Materials: Sublime Baby Cashmere Merino Silk DK yarn, 1 ball 50/g. Color of your choice.

Skill level: Easy

Finished size: 1½" W x 16" Circum.

Itty-Bitty Headband

Row 1 Ch 6, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, (5 sc); turn.

Row 2 Ch 1, sc in each sc across, turn.

Row 3-116 Rep row 2. Fasten off leaving a long tail. With a tapestry needle and long tail, join band at the ends with whip stitch. Fasten off. Weave in ends.

Top Scalloped Edging

Rnd 1 Join MC to side in beg row, ch 1, sc evenly spaced at the end of each row. Join with sl st in beg sc, (116 sc).

Rnd 2 Ch 1, sc in first sc, *sk next sc, 5 dc in next sc, sk next sc, sl st in next sc; rep from * around. Join with sl st to beg sc. Fasten off. Weave in ends.

Bottom Scalloped Edging

Rnd 1 Join MC on opposite side of top edge, in beg row, ch 1, sc evenly spaced at the end of each row. Join with sl st in beg sc, (116 sc).

Rnd 2 Ch 1, sc in first sc, *sk next sc, 5 dc in next sc, sk next sc, sl st in next sc; rep from * around. Join with sl st to beg sc. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
