The first thing I was aware of the next morning was the hangover. Shit was like the mother of all construction sites right behind my eyes, TNT and all. I let out a low moan as I rolled over in bed, letting my hand drop onto my forehead like I was taking my damn temperature.

Second thing I noticed was I wasn’t in my bed. Third thing was who was there with me.

Fucking hell. Over to my right was the slender, naked body of Skye. She slept softly, the covers pulled up just below her tits, giving me a full view. My cock stood at attention, the little fucker not giving a shit about anything but the smoking hot girl next to me.

Adam was there too. And he was just as naked as Skye and me. Thankfully he was fully covered by the bedsheets.

As the events of the previous evening filled my pained brain, I frowned. “Motherfucker.” I said the word under my breath.

I’d done it. I’d screwed my new employee with my best fucking friend. Afterward, the three of us got nice and cozy, piling into Skye’s bed and sleeping comfortably like we’d done it a million times.

I rolled over and planted my feet on the floor, using what little strength I had to stand up and stagger to the kitchen to pour myself a glass of water. I drained it and poured another, the low light of morning pouring in through the cheap blinds and making my headache even worse.

“Um…good morning.”

I glanced in the direction of the voice. It was Skye, her eyes sleepy, and the sheets pulled up to her neck. I turned my head and grimaced before saying, “Mornin’.”

Adam let out a ripping snore, still asleep. Silence passed and neither of us sure what to do or say. I was still naked as the day I was born, but I didn’t care. The girl had already seen all there was to see last night. But Skye fumbled around on the floor, grabbing a pair of sleeping shorts and pulling them over her legs. I spotted a sweatshirt draped over the back of one of the kitchen chairs and tossed it to her.

“You feelin’ alright?” she asked, her voice soft and sweet.

“Uh, what’re you referin’ to, exactly?” I asked. “The hangover? I’ve had worse.”

“Well,” she said. “There’s…the other thing, too.”

I let out a dry laugh. “Sweetheart, I woke up two seconds ago. Haven’t exactly had time to process that shit.”

She nodded and got out of bed, coming over to where I stood. Her steps were uncertain, the confidence she’d had last night replaced by something else, something I couldn’t put my damn finger on. Did she regret what had happened?

“Coffee?”

“Yeah, that sounds real good.”

She brushed past me on the way to the coffeemaker, her scent drifting toward me. I hated to admit it, but the sight of her in the morning, her hair all mussed, and her legs looking fine in those shorts made me want round two before Adam woke up.
