Her screams were so loud Lance thought the walls in his room would crack. All the folks enjoying their drinks downstairs would be hearing this.
It didnât take much convincing, Lance thought as he pumped a few more times into her. It never did. He had already forgotten her name but wouldnât forget that orange butterfly tattoo anytime soon. In the folds of her body, it got squished beyond recognition and looked more like a crushed bug than a tramp stamp. Lance was taking her from behind. She was naked, spread out over the bed, while the hunter remained standing. Not even putting in the effort required to get undressed. There was a severe farmerâs tan going from her shoulders. The rest of her curvy body was as pale as a bloodsucker.
She had been eager and practically ran up the stairs. Thatâs when Lance knew it was gonna be a good time. Too many played it coy these days. The ones that were game from the get-go were the most fun. The entire bed rocked back and forth as he continued to thrust.
âOh ya! Right there,â she moaned. Her Minnesota accent was like axe grinding in his head. Super high-pitched and polite, it didnât mimic her actions at all. He was waiting for her to squawk out a few âthat hit the spot, you betchaâ before the night was over.
His phone vibrated in the back pocket of his pants. The buzzing created a pleasant tingling feeling in his behind. Almost like it was part of the act, Lance quickly whipped it out of there before he started questioning whether he was into that.
Seeing the name on the screen made him groan. Unknown number. This could mean either one of two things. A scam call, which seemed to be way more prevalent these days. Or it was The Connector, as dull as this week had been. Lance didnât want to be speaking to this asshole while he was having some sexual healing. The womanâs body continued to shake visibly. Lance let autopilot take over his body and answered the phone. Still humping away.
âThis better be good.â
âUhm, hello, Mr. Crosby. How are you doing today,â an uptight male voice said. The same way an enthusiastic customer service assistant would answer the phone. Lance rolled his eyes. He could almost smell the Cheeto dust on that fat fuck from here.
âDrop the act C. You got work for me or what?â Lance checked back in with his partner for the night. She had raised her head and looked over her shoulder. âNo, Iâm not talking to you. Eyes forward, miss.â
âI see that your last known position was in Nevada. Am I correct?â
âYou got your big fancy computer there. You tell me where the fuck I am.â His patience grew thin every time he spoke with The Connector.
Connectors were a necessary evil in the vampire-hunting business. A third party that acted as a go-between for contractors and the hunters, who were looked down upon like triggermen. They used to be a classy group of individuals who provided all the dirty details for hunters.
