Chapter Eight
Teasing Cliff was more fun when he was fuzzy. Remus liked the way his fur would bristle and stand up along his back, the way his eyes would flash with irritation. Now Remus understood why Cliff liked getting a rise out of people.
Once they were in the SUV with Mark, Remus pulled up the address he’d saved on his phone. “This is the first place we’d like to go, but we can’t be seen near it or, you know, breaking into it.”
Mark laughed, a light, melodious sound that had tempted Remus once or twice to consider him for a lover years back. It hadn’t ever happened, because Mark deserved to be loved wholly and Remus couldn’t have given him that.
Cliff growled as he settled on the seat beside Remus. He put his head in Remus’ lap then nosed his balls. Hard. Remus tried to close his legs, but Cliff burrowed his head into place.
Remus coughed and handed his phone over to Mark. Talking was out of the question with Cliff’s nose still pressing on his nuts. Of course, it wasn’t painful now, but every warm, moist exhalation was ensconcing Remus’ balls in Cliff’s breath. It was unbearably erotic, and Remus’ dick couldn’t get any harder.
“This is a pretty nice neighbourhood,” Mark said as he looked at the address. “Huge yards, though. Acres, I mean. Security gates, armed guards at some places. Might be tricky, but I know you can do it.”
“Thank you,” Remus got out as Cliff got his nose just a little farther down until it was pressed to the sweet spot below Remus’ balls. Remus grabbed a handful of the fur on Cliff’s nape and tugged. Cliff rolled his mismatched eyes up and smirked at him. Payback. Remus got it.
And it thrilled him, because despite his harsh words earlier, Cliff was still playing with him.
“Artie didn’t tell me what was going on, just that I’m to chauffeur you wherever you want to go.” Mark glanced in the rearview at Remus. “He didn’t tell me you had found your mate. Congratulations.”
Mark said it without malice, but Cliff still nudged Remus’ balls up just a little too firmly for it to be completely pleasurable. Remus tugged sharply on Cliff’s fur.
“Thank you, Mark,” Remus said while sending his mate a different message. “That will be enough of that, Cliff.”
“You know you like it,” Cliff retorted, but he didn’t do it again. No, instead, he ran his tongue over Remus’ balls and over part of his dick. “Bet he couldn’t have fucked you near as good as I’m gonna.”
“You’ve nothing to be jealous of. I never did more than kiss him. Well, he kissed me.”
“Fucker.”
Remus was fairly certain that was meant for Mark, but he didn’t ask. “We need some clothes for Cliff as well, so he can shift. Is there a store we can stop at before we reach that first address?”
“Yeah, one or two. You want cheap stuff or not?” Mark asked.
“Cliff?” Remus said aloud.
Cliff gave the wolf equivalent of a shrug then went back to sniffing Remus’ crotch.
