Chapter 19 â Hollyn
I glared at the light streaming in the windows. Did it have to be so bright? Couldnât it just keep blazing up into the sky? Why did it have to sit right there for what felt like hours on end?
Tove snorted, jerked awake. âWhat?â
I snickered as I rolled towards him on the giant bed. âWho you talking to, Batman?â
He plopped over on his side, smiled at me. Most of his face was still buried in the pillow. âYou, beautiful. How do you feel this morning?â
I smiled. âExcept for hating the sun for shining in my eyes, surprisingly good. Iâm not sure Iâll look at powdered sugar or honey the same way ever again, though.â I pouted.
He laughed, the sound joyous and happy. âOh, I think itâs become my favoritest ever.â
Grumpy laughed from my other side. âMine is now powdered sugar and Hollynâs skin.â I felt the bed dip slightly as he rolled up against my back. He planted a soft kiss on my shoulder.
âMorning, Grumpy.â
He growled in my ear. âThat it is, cheeks. That it is.â He snaked his arm over my waist, palmed a breast.
My body gave a half-hearted pulse of heat. I snickered. âI think you guys might have broken me.â
Tove laughed. Grumpy snarled.
âI think she just needs some more food,â Thane said from the doorway. âWith all the yelling and screaming last night, I donât think one and a half pancakes was enough fuel.â
I popped up to see over Grumpyâs shoulder. âMorning, Thane.â
He winked at me. âMorning, Stretch. Iâve got breakfast started. And you remember all those people we kicked out of our house last night?â
I nodded as my belly sounded a grumbling alarm.
âTheyâre here. So, unless you want to be putting on an audible performance of ravished delight, I highly suggest you get back out here.â
I pouted. While I wasnât sure my body was ready for more sex, it was definitely ready for food again. But visitors meant I had to put clothes on.
These visitors were ranking right up there with the sun this morning. Jerks.
I flopped back down, sighed as if my life were ending. âFine. But Iâm wearing Toveâs clothes today. Girl clothes are dumb.â
âHey. Why not my clothes?â Grumpy asked.
I looked around the room we were in. Looked back at Grumpy. âSo youâll let me walk naked to your room?â
He snarled. âToveâs clothes it is.â He pushed into my face. âNo one but us sees you naked anymore.â He smacked his mouth to mine with a bruising kiss. âNo one.â
I grabbed his face, pulled it back down to mine. Ran my nose up the length of his. âYes, Tagan.â I captured his mouth and his snarl. I bit his lip as I lifted his head away. It stretched until I released my hold on him.
His dark pupils were huge, almost eating all of the stormy gray of his irises. âThane, tell them weâre going to be a bit.â
âDonât even think about it, Tagan,â Drace declared from the door. âWeâve more to do than you getting lost in the heaven that is undoubtedly Corcraâs vag.
