Of course, time in this narrative is looped and it doubles back on itself and threads – blue threads – that are dropped sometimes stay dropped (which will be called bad writing) and sometimes they will be picked up again (and that may well be called bad writing also).

Yves Klein had one more trick up his sleeve that May in 1957 – yes, I know calling it a ‘trick’ is something more akin to the blue-stone-toothed man at the foot of the steps at Le Passage de la Sorcière in Montmartre with his silver eggcups and his disappearing wooden ball. Yves Klein had a separate exhibit upstairs on the second floor of the Galerie Colette Allendy. This was not open to the general public but was shown only to a select few invited guests.
