2 Spritz again and wipe until the surface is clean.

3 To clean the brayer, roll it briskly on scrap paper or newspapers; this will remove much of the ink.

4 Roll the edges, too.

5 Then spritz the brayer with water and wipe with a paper towel. Washing the tools in a utility sink would work well, too.

Remember that when it’s not in use, a brayer should be stored resting on its handle with the roller’s surface facing up. This will prevent the surface from getting indented or otherwise marred.
