Amaretto-Maple Cream Cheese Buttercream

Good buttercream for many kinds of cakes, including, chocolate cakes.

INGREDIENTS

8 Oz cream cheese, softened

4 Oz Butter, unsalted, softened

2 ½ cups Sugar, powdered

1/4 cup Amaretto liqueur

1 tablespoon Maple syrup, pure

1/2 teaspoon Vanilla, pure, extract

EQUIPMENT

Stand or hand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment; Cake decorating piping tips and bags (optional).

PREPARATION

Step 1: Place butter and cream cheese on a kitchen countertop and leave it until it reaches room temperature.

Step 2: In a bowl of stand mixer, fitted with the paddle attachment, beat cream cheese on medium speed for 5-7 minutes until it becomes soft and fluffy.

Step 3: Little by little, add softened butter and beat on medium speed until all is incorporated and fluffy.

Step 4: Add powdered sugar, amaretto liqueur, maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Beat it for another 1-2 minutes until smooth and fluffy.

Place into the fridge to cool.

Store it in the refrigerator for up to one week. Beat it with a mixer before using it for piping or decorating cakes.
