Chapter Six

Kyle looked around his tiny house again. He'd seen Matt several times this week. He'd become more than just a regular at the bar; even the other wait staff teased Kyle about it good-naturedly. Kyle spent the day getting everything ready for their date that night. At least, he thought it was a date. He was fairly certain Matt considered it a date too. Kyle hoped they could finish what they'd started that night in the parking lot, and everything went well.

He pushed aside the curtain over the front door, checking for the red car he'd been eager to see all day. His frown disappeared when it appeared around the last curve before the cabin. Kyle dried his palms on his shorts. He'd spent the week reliving their kiss and wanted to finish what they'd started. I've been hard all week thinking about being with him again.

He stepped onto the porch as Matt climbed out of his car and waved. "Hey, Matt. Glad you made it. It's not the easiest place to find."

Matt returned the wave as he pulled a couple of packages from the backseat and then strolled to the cabin, leaving Kyle breathing heavily. Matt's jeans were tight in ways that left little doubt he was packing. His shirt was fitted, and it highlighted his muscles. By the time Matt reached him, Kyle was ready to skip the meal and rip his clothes off. His freshly washed loose curls were sexy as hell, and combined with his slight five o'clock shadow, had Kyle wanting to spend a few hours caressing him. Kyle was hopelessly in lust.

Matt stood patiently until Kyle said, "Sorry! I'm brain dead today. Come on in." He held the door open and motioned Matt inside. As he passed, Matt's scent added another layer of steel to Kyle's erection. He followed Matt into the house, this time forcing himself to avoid looking at his ass.

Matt stopped and turned slowly. Kyle was glad he'd spent hours obsessively cleaning. Matt stopped again when he came to the picture window that overlooked the edge of the national forest.

"That's why Mom and Dad picked this cabin. It butts up against the forest."

Matt nodded. "Not just against it, but pretty much surrounded by it. Your parents have good taste."

Kyle chuckled and held out his hands for the sacks Matt was carrying. "I can take those if you'd like."

Matt handed them off with a smile. "I wasn't sure what you had in mind, so I brought beer and a bottle of wine. I figured that would cover all the possibilities."

Kyle stowed the drinks in the refrigerator and then motioned to a platter of appetizers. "This is where waiting on you for a few months gives me an advantage, I know what you like. I made us some spicy salmon sushi. Got it at the fish market this morning. Then I thought I'd do the dude thing and cook on the grill, a few salmon fillets and grilled veggies."
