One night, Rebel watched some lame reality show when the phone rang. He jumped and quickly grabbed the phone, stopping himself from answering.

What if the news was bad like he feared?

"Answer the phone, dear." Rebel heard Leila's voice inside his head. He clicked the button and put the phone to his ear feeling his body numb.

"Rebel?" It was Jameson's voice.

"Jameson? Nice of you to call a month later!" Rebel was shocked by his own voice. He hadn’t heard it in a while, and it sounded raspy and broken.

"You're safe for now. Anthony and Tommy are working together, but they are dealing with other things right now. You alright?" Jameson sounded like he had heart in his voice.

"I'm fine, Jameson. What's wrong?" Rebel asked his brother. Rebel could hear tears from the other end of the phone.

"Clair... she tried to kill herself,” Jameson broke out.

The two talked for a few hours filling each other in on every detail of their lives, which wasn't much. Rebel told Jameson all about Warren, and Jameson told him it was better of that he left for Iraq.

"You have your own war at home. Warren doesn't need to get in the way,” Jameson said.

As the two went to hang up, Jameson shouted out Rebel's name.

"Yes?" Rebel asked after a few seconds of silence.

"I'm happy for you."
