Above and below: A compound of new structures inspired by traditional Adirondack camps was designed by Pearson Design Group to speak to a hilly lakeside site. In keeping with regional precedence, the architects worked hard to incorporate local materials and minimize massing. The main home’s bedrooms hide beneath a living roof, while locally quarried granite helps tie the structures to the land and create a cohesive whole. A porch with removable windows and a fanciful antique stove overlooks the lake view.
