The apps are stored in your app drawer and in order to access your app drawer, click on the apps icon. Your apps drawer will open-

By clicking on the shopping trolley icon, top right, this will take you to Amazon's app store, where you can search for both free and paid apps and download them to your tablet and have them backed up automatically to your cloud storage.

By clicking on Cloud, top right, this will show all the apps which belong to you and are backed up to Amazon's cloud storage. Any app which has been physically downloaded to your tablet, is ticked, or you can get a clean view of apps physically on your device by clicking on Device, top right.
