Brody knew that what he was seeing wasn't what it seemed in human terms. His mate was not cuddled up to a woman. He was cuddled up to another werewolf, and for werewolves it was normal, it was natural. Brody should be grateful to Casey for giving Justin back that part of himself and his heritage.

But Brody couldn't quite swallow the jealousy that burned in the back of his throat.

He should have called. He should have let Justin know he was coming home for the night. Hell, it wasn't much. He could barely stay thirty-six hours, and on the flight here he hadn't even been certain he was ready for the things they'd talked about.

"Are you going to come down?"

Brody startled when he realized Justin had left the porch and almost made it to the tree Brody had landed in before announcing his presence. Heck, being allegedly indestructible in shifted form was no excuse for being unaware of his surroundings.

"Brody?" Justin asked in a voice that wasn't quite so confident the second time.

Feeling guilty for causing his mate unnecessary worry, Brody quickly launched off the branch and circled wide enough to land at his mate's feet just as he took human form.

"Show off," Justin said affectionately, reaching for him and dragging him into a hug. "Is everything okay?"

"It is now," he replied, breathing in his mate's scent and feeling so much calmer. He could smell Casey on Justin's clothes, but now that he was in the man's arms it no longer seemed to matter. He glanced over to the veranda in time to see Casey wave to them both and then go inside. "I'm sorry I interrupted."

"No problem. It's nearly time for the boys to go to bed, so Casey would have needed to go inside soon anyway."

"You know the family's routine," Brody mumbled, sounding like a jealous asshole again.

Justin touched his face affectionately. "I've been here eleven days. Of course I know the routine."

"I can't stay," Brody blurted, guilt assaulting him anew as he sensed his mate's disappointment. "I mean, I can stay for a day or so…just not as long as I would like."

"A day or so?" Justin asked, grinning mischievously. Brody could already smell their combined arousal filling the air. "Whatever shall we do with the time?"

Simply being this close to his mate was filling him with ideas he'd tried not to think about over the past eleven days, and Justin's hands roaming over his naked body sure weren't helping him to think clearly.

"We need to go home," Justin mumbled against his lips, kissing and plundering his mouth as he walked Brody backward.

"Home," Brody mumbled, amazed how well the word fit what he was feeling right now. The cabin Casey had given them was barely large enough for two, but the moment they stepped through the doorway and Brody smelled his mate in every inch of the three-room cottage, he knew that home was exactly where he was.

Home was the man in his arms, no matter where they were geographically.
