I think of that well known item of the zip lock plastic bag people re-use. Well, I think maybe it’s because they knew how hard it was to come by, either by carbon footprint or by lack of money to replace it.

I think that just the mere fact of not being able to afford a lot of stuff can generate the practice to be frugal and less wasteful. I think it may sound sad to say but that kind of experience, of having less, may help bring the fundamentals needed in making this world a cleaner world, a sustainable world for generations to come. Not to discriminate against those who have never experienced frugal times, the depression era, etc. but, I think either way people have the power to exercise a conscious mind.

I think that recycling is both good for our earth and our wallets. I think money is being made by companies utilizing innovative concepts of product waste (alright! we want jobs!) and it is marvelous to see residential areas contributing to the cause.

Haven’t we all heard the saying that we live in the land of plenty? I like to think that we all would like it to stay that way.
