Especially in (information) technology-oriented companies the reliability and speed of the projects decreases - despite the use of so-called agile methods. A new, simple and flexible multiproject management is required. Projects 4.0 can flow when companies learn to think new in some areas and have the courage to go new ways. They are therefore prepared for the challenges of the fourth industrial revolution.
Face-to-Face Agility at Work - Communication: The End of the Home Office?

Working in the home office has been commonplace since the pioneering IBM 1980. But now many companies are pulling back, eg Yahoo. Annoying for many workers who have to go back to the office. A big plus, however, for our everyday communication.
Home Office: Communication remains on the line
A short work-way, no traffic jam or crowded buses / lanes. And a workplace at home, with feel-good factor. The home office has clear advantages. Just to cook lunch, to pick up the children or to do something in the house is no problem.
At least as long as the work does not suffer. In order for everything to work, fixed guidelines and times are set for which colleagues are available. But there is a big drawback: the everyday communication in the office remains on the line!
Lack of creativity in the home office
In the long term, the small home office is then quickly dull. It simply lacks the togetherness, the exchange of ideas in the office and the happy environment, which makes the everyday life there crucial - and, above all, promotes creativity.
Not even the Skype conferences or everyday phone conversations can replace that.
Trust is good â¦
Man depends on social contacts, appreciable appreciation and appreciation. The solidarity with the company is only strengthened.
But executives are struggling to keep track. Which employee does what at home? The basis of the home office is trust - but for many companies, control is simply better.
The trend agility
Agility is now a synonym for a team-based approach. More and more companies rely on an agile team instead of loners in their offices. Of course, this works best when the employees are close together.
This makes interdisciplinary work and easy exchange possible. So there is transparency and decisions can be made more quickly. Through the immediately available feedback, work and results are constantly improved.
