Chapter Fourteen
Colby lay curled up on his side, his back plastered against Seth’s side. Something had changed between them. He wasn’t sure Seth realized it, but it was plain as day to him. They were doing more than fucking and he really liked it.
When he and Neil had started dating, it hadn’t been this intense. Seth had changed the way Colby felt about the future and that scared him. He didn’t know anything about the man at all. Oh God, what if Seth had someone else at home who he was cheating on? Colby didn’t want to think of that. Instead, he just wanted to keep having fun with this man.
Last time they’d slept together, they’d woken multiple times and had sex, but this time they really did sleep. His alarm rang at six thirty and he jerked awake, scrambling to find his phone. Seth grabbed it and shut off the alarm, pushing him back to the bed.
“Five more minutes,” Seth mumbled.
“I need to get up.”
“I wish we would have woken up in the middle of the night like last time.”
Colby sighed and kissed Seth’s shoulder. “Same here. But we have tonight.”
“I have pr—work until four tonight. I need to head home now and shower, but I’ll bring a change of clothes tomorrow so I don’t have to leave so early in the morning. I wish I had time to do more today, but I really have to head out.”
“I’ll miss you.”
Seth pulled him close and kissed the top of his head. “I’ll miss you too.”
All too soon he was alone with only the memory and the scent of Seth left behind, which he was washing off his body so he could make it to work. He could imagine that every time he washed his body in a hotel shower like this one he would have problems not thinking about Seth.
Work kept him busy until noon when he texted Seth, telling him that he had a meeting scheduled until six that evening. Before Seth replied, Colby was pulled into another meeting. At four fifty-eight, just before he was about to enter the conference room, he checked his phone, seeing that he had a text.
