“I have a boyfriend,” I announced.

“Delicious,” purred Lou, “I like,” he dipped his spoon in a tub of cookie dough ice cream. I raised an eyebrow. But he stabbed the spoon in my direction, “I meant the news. For one, I could tell you were smitten by the way you've been walking around the past week. Now don't skim over any details.”

I responded with a smile and told Lou, who was surprisingly pleased for me. I told him all about last week, meeting Chris at a support group, Kevin's orgy, and the two of us agreeing to have a non-physical relationship. The details left Lou gaping.

“Come on. You're telling me you're with a jaw-dropping gorgeous guy, and you've both agreed to explore each other without sex?”

“Sure, I'm willing to give it a try.”

“Wow. Okay, so you two are, like, friends or something?” he asked, confused.

“We will date and hold each other. Maybe even sleep on the same bed.”

“What did this hideous Support Group do to you? Is it a cult?”

“Chris is the first guy I've ever gotten to really know.”

“Ahem.”

“You know what I mean.”

“Bring him over, we need to check him out.”

“Maybe, if you promise you'll behave,” I said.

“So. Christian Lebeau. How tall is he? Where does he hang out? Oh, right, he probably doesn't, being reformed. Does he have sexy feet? Back when I was single, I would get with a guy, just to see if he had sexy feet,” he mused aloud.

“Hmm. I'm not thinking about his feet.”

“Riiight. Other things going on in your head.”

“No. I'm still abstaining for 90 days.”

“That’ll last. Out of curiosity, where you planning on going for your first date?”
