Chapter Seven

The Roadhouse

I adjusted the skirt back down as we approached the Interstate turn off to our tiny little town. This intersection was as close as we had to a Bus stop. Greyhound pulled off and let out passengers here. Standing in the ditch were two young men. It dawned on me that they must be Josh's college buddies. Josh pulled over and they picked up their backpacks as Josh hurried to open the trunk. Josh told me to hop in the back and they both piled in with me. They were so close I was having trouble maintaining my space. Josh introduced them as Tyrone and Ephriam. They both said hello and I could feel their eyes check me out.
