“Well you can hold me until I go to sleep each night and then you can return to her arms.” Jude didn’t want to share Michael with Ida, but he knew that was the way things would have to be.

“I prefer you to her,” Michael said. Jude smiled and closed his eyes. They went to sleep and enjoyed one of the rare full nights that they had in the same bed, in each other’s arms.

When he woke up the next morning, Jude was hard and ready for another round. He grabbed Michael’s hand and used Michael’s hand to rub his cock until Michael started to wake up and took over. Jude stated, “I think you should taste me now.” Tasting Jude wasn’t Michael’s favorite thing in the world, but it made Jude happy and so he did it. Jude tasted exactly as he remembered him tasting.

Jude sat up on the bed and positioned himself on all fours. He looked at Michael and asked, “Once more before you go?”

Michael grinned and moved in behind Jude. He loved that position because he felt like he was in complete control of Jude. Like he could do anything to Jude and Jude wouldn’t see it coming. It was the ultimate act of trust on Jude’s part. Michael grabbed the back of Jude’s hair and pulled his head up. That was something new, but Jude liked it. Michael climaxed inside Jude and they both fell forward on the bed. Michael lied on top of Jude. Their breathing synchronized and neither wanted to move.

Jude thought about Clara’s warning. He sighed. Michael rolled off of him. Michael sensed the shift in Jude’s mood. He placed his hand on the small of Jude’s back and said, “It’s time to face the day.”

On a typical night Michael stayed with Jude until he fell asleep then he slipped away and went home to his family at 400 Burke Street. Michael spent his days working as Jude’s butler and he rarely had a day off. When he did, he often came at night to help Jude sleep then went back home to his wife and kids.

Ida thought it was odd that her husband always stayed late with Jude, but she didn’t know why for a long time. John’s wife died eight years after Michael returned to town with Ida. At first John mourned the loss of his wife then John turned his attention to Ida and the girls. Michael was rarely home with them. John had wanted kids but he and his Lannie were never blessed with a child. He grew close to the girls first. He saw how Michael neglected Ida and he felt sorry for her. He thought that she deserved to be with a man who appreciated her. One night John came over very late. He was drunk. He sat at Ida’s table and told her that she was too beautiful to be with a man who spent his time loving another man. He told her about the rumors.
