Ethralium Potion

It is supposedly possible to transfer the magical energies of an Abraxian soul to another being by use of the ancient Ethralium potion. First brewed in a time before time, little is remembered about the potion which has mostly dissolved into legend. The required ingredients and recipe were a closely guarded secret of Eleroxa’s elite potionists and have never been recorded, though countless attempts to recreate the mixture have been made, with varying results. However, as documented in the Chronicles of Medea, the following facts regarding this brew are known.

Firstly, it must be drunk entirely of the subject’s free will or else the spell will fail, resulting in the immediate destruction of both the current and the intended hosts’ souls, regardless of protective charms, anti-magic amulets or blessing boosters.

Secondly, the effects are only temporary – a few hours, in most cases – but as with all potions it is believed that those brewed exceptionally well will deliver longer-lasting results. Abraxian magic is a god-given blessing not intended to be shared, and it can never be transferred permanently.

Thirdly, brewing time is less than six days. Any documented attempts lasting six or longer all became toxic and caused instant death.

Rumoured recipes and their sources are listed on pages sixty-three to two hundred, but results for these methods are unknown and should be followed at the readers own peril. Owing to its classification, the authors STRONGLY ADVISE against any brewing attempt, even by the most advanced of potionists. Side effects from experimentation have included: drowsiness, growth or loss of limbs, vomiting, combustion, slight or complete loss of vision, sudden death, baldness…
