The only big trouble with teaching is that you come up against alot of situations which could be bewildering to you. You never were taught about their existence or how to handle them by the professors in the education courses. Every Thursday, during the fourth period, we had © what you can call “Free Play.” On this particular Thursday, the students voted for a game called “Ask and Tell.” A student asked a question. Then students volunteered to answer you. You got points if the enswer was correct. If ‘not, then you received minus points. | was supposed to give a prize'te the winner. On that particular day - never to be forgotten - the principal came in to observe me for my yearly rating mark, » Things proceeded rather normally until Frank arose and asked his question. “| have at home o picture of General George Washington. | think he and his troops were crossing the Delaware River. | wont an answer to something that bothers me very much. Why was he standing up In’ ye boat? Last summer, my father took me fishing. When | tried to stand up in the rowboat, he gave mea terrible scolding. He told me how dangerous it was.
