How to differentiate y=x^3 ln x using the product rule

The power to which a base must be raised to get a certain number is called a natural logarithm (ln) of a number. For example, ln 30 = 3.4102 or Differentiating natural logs in calculus that are multiply with another function is achieved using the product rule, a very simple procedure that only involves a little algebra.

Sample differentiate ln x.

Step Name the first function “f” and the second function “g.”

g=ln x

Step 2: rewrite the equation: multiply f by the derivative of g, add the derivative of f multiply by g.

Y’= d (ln x) + d ln x

Step 3: take the derivative of the two functions in the equation you wrote in step 2. F’= (1/x) + ln x).

Step 4: use algebra to simplify the result. Y’= + ln x = (1 + 3 ln x)
