Gütermann hand quilting cotton in Sage Green 8816 or Gütermann top stitching thread in Light Green 152 or Dark Green 472

5mm (¼in) wide, any length

Make a magic ring, into ring work (2ch, 1tr, 2ch, ss).

Row 1: *4ch, (1tr, 2ch, ss) in third ch from hook, rep from * until desired length is achieved. The last repeat makes the top of the seaweed.

Row 2: Working along other side of seaweed, ss in next ch, *(ss, 2ch, 1tr, 2ch, ss) in next ch, rep from * until magic ring is reached, (ss, 2ch, 1tr, 2ch, ss) in magic ring to finish.
