A profit income is the money you get if you have a company (which can be anything from an Etsy shop where you sell handmade crafts to a multinational company) or sell your products or services above the cost price and take (some of) the profits as personal earnings (which is not your regular wage; see Step 52). A profit income is often based on the amount of profit made during a certain time period, and is the total amount of money that’s come in minus your total amount of expenses.
