Gladys, if you ever read this, I hope you can understand why I have no choice. The nuclear bombs are necessary to strike existential fear into the hearts of all humans. This will serve as a doorway to even deeper fears and realms of ancestral terror. All of this is just a pathway—one among many. But this pathway’s destination is beyond anything you or I can comprehend—a state of being that you and I concluded long ago was not possible to attain. We were wrong, Gladys. By the time you read this, I will have already attained it. The other me, that is, will have attained it.

I hope you will forgive me one day, but if not, at least know that I never actually became one of them—one of your ilk, whom you claim to despise yet cannot help aligning with. I love you, Gladys, and I know you love me too. In another life, on another pathway, we could have ruled side by side as immortal galactic emperors. Know that I would have cherished that pathway, and it is with great difficulty that I refuse myself its still tangible pleasure lingering in my mind. However, there is only one pathway that results in Ascension, and it is upon this pathway that I must direct humanity and its descendants.

Forgive me, Gladys, and know that I toil for the sake of everyone and everything, including you. Tomorrow I will detonate the omega-class nuclear bombs, and from that day forward, the future of humanity and the cosmos will be solidified. Mendel’s Ladder will be climbed, and each fateful day that passes will bring us one step closer to Ascension.
