She couldn’t believe it. She whirled around, checking her reflection in the mirror that was nailed to the back of the closet door. Maybe she’d look out of place, but she wasn’t about to miss a chance to wear a flirty skirt. The Dalton brothers hadn’t seen her legs since she’d arrived and, with legs like hers, it was a damn shame.

She’d taken another shower once Morgan and she had arrived home and put up the groceries. Then, after greeting his brothers, she’d dashed upstairs to get ready. Two hours later and she was still primping. It wasn’t unusual for her to take so long to get ready, but the fluttering in her stomach had made her feel like she had to look especially pretty tonight. Pretty and sexy. Tonight she intended to take all the Dalton brothers to bed. And once she had, they’d be hers for life.

She let out a breath. Was it true? Did she think so much of herself that she didn’t believe they could resist her? She frowned at her image. When had she become so full of herself? But that begged the real question. When had she not been so full of herself?

What she’d thought of as confidence was really conceit. But she’d never seen it. Not until she’d started seeing herself through the eyes of the men and the people of Forever.

“Miss Clara, tonight’s the night. I’m going to start acting like a grown-up instead of a spoiled princess.”

“Yo, Jane, are you ready yet?”

Skyler, forever the impatient one. But then again, maybe she’d pushed the limits of their impatience. “Coming!”

Snatching her small handbag, she took in the silk top that hugged her body to flare out with the short skirt. The skirt would spin outward like an umbrella opening up and a good bit of her shapely legs would show. The emerald color made her blue eyes shine and her yellow hair appear even more golden.

Yeah, I’ll look out of place, but I don’t care. As long as I catch their attention, then that’s all that matters.

She hurried toward the stairs, then paused at the top of them. The men stood at the bottom, dressed in their usual attire, but the jeans were new and the shirts were decorated with rhinestones and studs. They’d finished off their attire with fresh cowboy hats, newer boots, and sparkling silver belt buckles.

I guess I’m not the only one who got dressed up.
