FUN FACT!
If you learn a daf yomi, a daily page of Talmud, it will take you seven-and-a-half years to complete reading the entire cycle. Tens of thousands of Jews study this text daily, and over three hundred thousand Orthodox men gather for the siyum hashas, the completion ceremony of the cycle. In January 2020, thousands of women gathered for the first time ever in Jerusalem after completing the several year study cycle.

Do Jews Believe in Jesus?
Islam was built off of Christianity, and Muslims believe Jesus to be a prophet. Christianity is built off of Judaism, and Christians believe Moses to be a prophet. What about Judaism? Do Jews believe in Jesus? Well, letâs be Jewish about this: What do you mean by Jesus? If you mean Jesus as in son of God, then thatâs a hard no. Jews believe God is not a person, place, or thing, but rather a larger than human comprehension. The Bible speaks in metaphors, but God does not have a nose, mouth, or . . . you get the point. How about Jesus, the teacher, the student? Absolutely. The Talmud has countless examples of Jesus, referring to him as a Torah teacher,30 referring to him as the son of Mary,31 referring to him even as a sorcerer with disciples.32 The Talmud also refers to him as a frivolous disciple who practices magic and turned to idolatry.33 The Talmud even mentions Jesusâs execution.34 Thatâs a whole lot of ink for a guy who may never have been!
