"You guys have identification on you?"

We grab our driver's licenses.

I can feel the revolver tucked in my waistline.

"Anyone on probation or parole?" he asks. "Any warrants or anything like that?"

After saying "No" the cop tells us to "just hang on one sec."

(He heads back to his squad car to run our IDs.)

"Baby you are doing so great," I say.

"I'm scared," she whispers.

"Me too but we need to just get through this."

Alex hands us a few hits of e, "…Could be a long night, guys."

I take 2 and give my girlfriend 1.

(We chew on the pills and wait for the cops.)
