Happy House

Rancho Mirage

1959

Architect: Unknown

This is one of the few original homes still standing in Tamarisk Country Club. Tamarisk was established in 1952 as only the second eighteen-hole private club in Coachella Valley (the first being the Thunderbird Country Club). The founding members of Tamarisk included four of the five Marx Brothers and numerous other celebrities from Hollywood’s golden age. Tamarisk was also one of four hosts for the famous Bob Hope Desert Classic golf tournament.
