SETTING AND ATMOSPHERE A prime location for daytime people-watching and nighttime fireworks, Spice Road Table is situated directly along World Showcase Lagoon at the front of the Morocco pavilion. The outdoor covered patio features excellent dining in plein air when Florida weather cooperates, and indoor seating provides colorful pops of modern Moroccan decor. The central lobby is the restaurant’s showcase bar, bathed in jewel tones and overlooking the pavilion’s iconic waterwheel through peekaboo windows.

HOUSE SPECIALTIES Perfectly fried calamari, baked Brie, and grape leaves stuffed with bright, lemony rice stand out as favorites on the small-plates side of the menu. Hummus fries transform falafel into a more accessible but still authentic dish worthy of consideration. For those looking for full meals, the yellowfin tuna showcases well-prepared, bold flavors. Dessert stars include a rich chocolate mousse pyramid and a pistachio and saffron custard sure to impress.

OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS Lamb sliders with tzatziki offer a bit of punch and spice, as does the Moroccan lamb sausage appetizer—a slightly smaller portion but easy to share. Grilled beef and chicken skewers may sound simple, but the accompanying chimichurri and roasted potatoes take the otherwise pedestrian dish to the next level. Coriander-crusted rack of lamb offers a more upscale take on the same flavors frequently featured at nearby Restaurant Marrakesh.

SUMMARY AND COMMENTS No longer just a quick stop for a snack, Spice Road Table has expanded its slate of small plates to include several entrées to satisfy those less willing to share with others. Appetizers and desserts still shine here, though, and pair excellently with the restaurant’s extensive wine and cocktail lists. Service is just as attentive as the pavilion’s other table service location, Restaurant Marrakesh, but the casual atmosphere seems more appropriate to the outdoor seating area and modern Epcot.
