"Mr. Cannon." The Judge looked at him. "I gave the witness permission to speak."

Cannon crossed his arms and glared at Morgan. "Thank you, your Honor." She said then turned to the jury.

"I would like to tell you what led up to that particular night when Nancy was killed. I met Nancy for the first time at Dante's house, just as Ms. Lansing testified. When Ms. Lansing recognized me and called me Morgan Vinsetti, I thought she had mistaken me for someone else. But then I began to have flashes of memories. Things I didn't remember but that seemed familiar began to return to me.

"Dante and I went to a party in Hollywood. His latest music video premiered that night. While we were there, two men attacked me. Dante got me out of the building safely and took me home. But I was terrified. I didn't know why anyone would want to do me harm.

"After that I began to have disturbing dreams. Bits and pieces of memories would flash through my mind, but not enough to make sense. I saw Victor's face and others I didn't recognize. The dreams began to carry over into my waking hours, and I felt as though I were going mad. I became determined to discover if I could, in reality, be Morgan Vinsetti. I began my search at the public library. There I found a wealth of information from old newspaper and magazine articles. I saw pictures of myself and my husband, Victor."

Looking over at Victor, she smiled. "I was in shock. The woman in the pictures looked exactly like me. As I continued to read suddenly, I began to feel as if I were suffocating. As a physician, I would say I was suffering an anxiety attack. At any rate, I ran from the library and started running blinding down the street. A car pulled up on the sidewalk in front of me, blocking my path, and two men jumped out, armed with guns. Thanks to the intervention of others on the street, the gunmen were overpowered, and I was not harmed.

"Another incident happened when I went to check out the estate Victor owned in Bel Air. When I arrived at the house, the butler seemed to recognize me as Morgan Vinsetti. I searched the house and found a billfold containing a driver's license and credit cards - all in the name of Morgan Vinsetti. I took it and was about to leave the house when I was attacked. Fighting off the man who attacked me, I once more tried to get out of the house. A second man came after me, and we fought briefly. I broke away and ran out of the house."

She looked into the eyes of each of the jurors as she spoke. "I'm sure that many would find it hard to believe that a woman my size could overcome a man. However, I assure you that it is very possible if one takes the time and energy to develop the necessary skills.
