After a couple of songs, the handsome stranger disappeared into the crowd. Brielle hadn't gotten his name. Her head was cloudy and she was covered in sweat. It had been years since Brielle had been to a club scene like this one and she was beginning to realize why she'd left it.

The repetitive beat irritated the growing ache behind her eyes and she was exhausted, wanting only to find somewhere to sit down.

Unable to find her cousins, Brielle stumbled out of the club into the cool night air. The wind kissing her cheeks made the pain in her head ease, and she closed her eyes and breathed in deeply.

When she opened them, she looked around but couldn't find the limo anywhere. A taxi waited near the entrance and Brielle went for it, desperate to get home. And desperate to sit down.

She pulled open the door and slid into the backseat. The driver had his head turned away so she didn't see his face as she told him the address and tilted her head back against the seat.

The car jerked forward and Brielle glanced out the window, watching the streetlights pass by. Soon her eyelids grew heavy, and she couldn't keep them open any longer. Letting her worries go, Brielle allowed her eyes to close and for sleep to take her.
