“Where is this?” I asked, as I noticed a younger version of James walking or rather limping in front of me.

“Porthole.” said a voice ringing through my ears. Since I was seeing all of this through his eyes, whenever he answered me, it felt like I was answering myself in a different tone. “What exactly are you doing in the most secure prison base for anthromorphs in London?”

“How did you land up here?” I asked, although I felt shivers running through my spine at the dark, foggy atmosphere surrounding the place. I also felt indifferent mostly because the current version of James seeing this memory felt indifferent watching his younger self limping in front of him, who looked lanky and pale unlike the current day James.
