Intentional relationships fill in the cracks that we normally see people fall through in local churches. Systems and processes must provide a steady stream of intentional relationships to give life and fruit to your efforts. The systems and processes are built on ongoing biblical purposes.

General Motors has a vehicle assembly plant in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Visitors are invited to tour the facility. Once inside, guests walk along a painted floor path, watching the vehicle being assembled almost piece by piece. It begins with the chassis and concludes with the installation of the steering wheel. After a short stationary test drive, the back door opens and out rolls a beautiful new Corvette.

As the visitor stands at the door, no SUVs drive out. No trucks. No vans. Only Corvettes. This assembly plant knows exactly what they want to produce and have the systems and processes to produce such.

As church leaders, do you know what you want to produce, and are systems and processes in place? Most church leaders will claim the development of disciples is the aim.
