Minimal brushwork, maximum impact

What a time-saver! A small amount of negative painting on a passage of mingled yellow, orange and pink creates a whole hillside in autumn splendor while a smaller passage to the lower left creates the illusion of dead grasses, without me having to paint a single blade.

Select the right sprayer

Since a sprayer is frequently used to create passages, it’s important that you get one that can produce a coarse spray. Small “mister” sprayers just don’t work, so before you mess up your next passage, get one that is adjustable. Empty spray bottles can be found in the gardening or travel container sections in many stores if you can’t rescue one from the recycle bin.
