When you know wild nature, your whole being has no insecurity about where your next meal is coming from. Even in times of drought, you know precisely where to ind your wild food. You are, moreover, nomadic, so you are constantly following the rains and the bounty being washed up by the sea. Having to work only about two hours a day affords you a very relaxed and peaceful outlook on life. When agriculture entered the picture, the paranoia started. Suddenly we were at the mercy of the weather, drought, and plagues of insects. Our consciousness shifted from knowing we could always nurture ourselves from the provisions of land and sea to never knowing if our crops would fail or our animals would starve. We went from being carefree masters of the natural world to being constantly worried about losing our hard-won bounty of crops and livestock. So we began to hoard and save. The more wealth we accumulated, the more we had to protect. This led to the beginnings of war.
