There are many shortcuts you can use to move items or stacks of items between your hotbar (the row of your inventory that appears on the HUD for easy access) and your inventory.

Iron golems will attack hostile mobs, except for creepers and wolves. Their punch is almost as powerful as a creeper’s explosion.

IRON GOLEMS

Iron golems only spawn naturally if a village has at least ten villagers and twenty-one houses. They are a utility mob and protect villagers by attacking any hostile mobs or neutral mobs within sixteen blocks. If you damage them or a villager, they will also attack you (unless you created them). If your local village doesn’t have an iron golem, it’s a good idea to make one or add enough houses and villagers to the village to help naturally spawn an iron golem.

You make an iron golem from four blocks of iron placed as a T on the ground, with a pumpkin or jack o’ lantern on top for the head. Villagers don’t need to be present for iron golems to attack mobs, so iron golems can also be handy as guards for your property. You can fence them in or leash them to stop them from wandering away. Iron golems aren’t foolproof security for your villagers though, so a mob-proof wall and lighting are still essential protections.
