Creamy Cabbage Alfredo

You may think creamy, dreamy Alfredo sauce only belongs on pasta, but this quick cabbage Alfredo will change your mind after one bite. It’s ridiculously addictive! This easy side comes together in one skillet in just minutes. Serve as a vegetarian main dish or dress it up with grilled shrimp, chicken, or steak. Serves 8

4 tablespoons (½ stick) butter

1 (2½-pound) head green cabbage, cored and finely sliced

1½ teaspoons kosher salt

1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

1 teaspoon garlic powder

¼ cup cream cheese

¾ cup heavy (whipping) cream

¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the cabbage, season with the salt, pepper, and garlic powder, and sauté for 7 to 10 minutes, or until tender.

2. Reduce the heat to low and add the cream cheese, heavy cream, and Parmesan cheese. Stir until the cream cheese melts and the cabbage is coated with the sauce. Serve immediately.
