Withdrawal symptoms can begin as early as six to eight hours after the user's last fix. Many addicts report that they have experienced the worst effects from two to three days into their withdrawal, with major discomfort receding by the fourth and fifth days. However, many physical effects of withdrawal can last for weeks or months, depending on the person.
