I feel some sadness in the way my children have been discussed. Introducing them up front, I tried to clarify that it was my own decision to let them undertake such a delicate task. They should not be blamed.

My children are complicated. I also know that they are flawed. Like me, they try too much. They pop in and out of activities with a myriad points of view, while I try to balance it all. I have done my best.

Someday, when I am gone and my children are all that is left, I hope they will bring the world some joy, comfort, or expansion.

If you know them and feel this way, know that, through you, I am glad.
