CHAPTER 7

Daniel thought he was going at a good trot, he wasn’t sure if the pack was following him or not but if they were they would be ticked when they caught up to him. Daniel took the roughest terrain possible and had made it a point to go over steep cliffs and any other terrain that would be deadly. He had broken bones and smashed himself pretty good a couple of times and relied on his Quirk to fix him up. Daniel thought he had been gone for more than a week, the same night with the rabbit was the best time to sneak off since it smelled like Morena was having alone time with Angelo. Daniel had no idea how he knew that off a smell but it gave him enough time to get past the heavy sleepers and bolt through town carrying nothing but his purse.

Daniel had survived his one big battle which turned out to be a great meal. A big cat called a puma had attacked him. The animal had probably killed him or would have killed him at least twice before Daniel was able to bring the surprised cat down. Daniel wasn’t used to fighting in this form and thought he was faster and possibly stronger than the cat who had claws as well as a tough bite. Daniel won in the end and victory tasted sweet as he gorged himself on the big cat before moving on. Daniel was able to last three days before he had to go after smaller game and managed to snag a hare. He admitted to himself that being a wolf was sort of fun.

Nights came and went for Daniel as he finally felt the full moon. He thought about transforming back and although painful, it was nice to be a human again. Daniel couldn’t enjoy it too much, he was naked and was now cold. Daniel changed back into a wolf, the pain was manageable and the relief from the cold air was welcomed. Daniel became nervous briefly as he had hoped he wasn’t stuck in that form and had changed a few more times to be sure. Daniel finally happened on a city, he wasn’t sure what it was called as he entered in the dead of night. Daniel crept around until he found clothes hung out to dry. Daniel snatched a pair of pants and then went to a corner to change. He wondered around the city barefoot and shirtless until he came upon the only building he thought would be an inn. No it was a brothel, Daniel thought. He could smell humans laying with each other and was going to back away until he realized he needed a room and could possibly find clothes there or someone who knew how to get them.

“I’m looking for a room,” Daniel said as he walked inside and faced a dark haired woman who looked at him like trash. Daniel looked down at himself and thought he looked good, he had more muscle than he ever had and also had real hair growing on his chest.
